Our skip hire service: The eco-friendly choice
The biggest benefit of going with us is that we aim to recycle or reuse 100% of your non-hazardous waste so that as little of it as possible goes to thermal treatment.
The waste placed in any of our skips – of which there are many sizes to choose from – goes directly to one of our local waste transfer stations where the waste is treated, ensuring we reduce your environmental impact.
We also offer real-time tracking of your skips, crane tested skip certificates if your site or business requires one & a 24/7 service so we’re always there if you need us.
As well as offering a whole selection of skip sizes to our customers, you can also decide if you want an open or enclosed skip too.
Our selection of skips
Our skips come in 3 different sizes: 6-yard, 8-yard and 12-yard.
Our 6-yard skip
Our 6-yard skip is a good choice if you’re doing a big home or garden clear-out. This skip can hold the equivalent amount of waste of about 65 standard bin bags.
Our 8-yard skip
Our 8-yard skip is a better fit for builders or the DIY-types amongst you. So, for example, if you’re renovating your kitchen or your bathroom, this is probably the one for you.
Our 12-yard skip
Probably our most popular seller, our 12-yard skips are often used on construction sites or other commercial purposes due to their ability to hold particularly bulky types of waste.
How much room do we need to deliver your skip?
For our lorries to safely deliver your skip, we need a space that’s a minimum of 9 feet in width.
Our lorries are fine with most roads but ideally, during delivery times, could you make sure there are no parked cars either in your driveway or on the road in front of your site/home/office. This creates as much space as possible for our lorries and ensures a safe and hassle-free delivery.
Please note that if you’re placing your skip on land owned by the council, you may need to secure cones and lighting for the skip’s exterior to ensure it’s visible to drivers and cyclists.
Also, please note that you can’t place skips directly below trees.
If you are unsure about anything, please feel free to get in touch with our team by calling 020 7232 1711.

Can a skip go on a public highway/road?
For a skip to be placed on a public highway/road, you might need to apply for a skip licence or permit first.
We can help you with applying to the appropriate local authority before the delivery takes place. However, please note it can take up to 10 working days to receive one.
If you’d like our help with securing a permit – please contact us on 020 7232 1711 with the location of your skip and we’ll do the rest.
Can I ask for a specific delivery time slot?

Am I legally responsible for the contents of my skip?
You are! So please don’t place any hazardous materials in any of our skips. You can review our Terms & Conditions to see what counts as ‘hazardous waste’.
We would also ask that you do not overload our skips as this can be a serious safety hazard.
An overloaded skip may prove difficult for our lorries to lift safely and may result in other people being hurt whilst the skip is being lifted or transported.
As a golden rule, the contents of your skip should never exceed the height of the skip’s sides.
Finally, please remember that you must never set fire to waste in a skip (not that we think you would!).
